I have worked with Stephen for four years and found him to be such a quiet and gentle man. His mind was brilliant. I truly enjoyed working with Stephen and will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.

I met Steve when he joined the Fitzsimmons MacFarlane firm in the very early 1980's. Authentic, big-hearted and a very nice man - he was a pleasure to see every day. Some time after this, and I am not sure if I did any "match-making" or not, Steve got involved with the registered charity Toronto Brigantine, which operates the square-rigged sail training vessels Pathfinder and Playfair. I believe that he served on their Board of Directors for a number of years. Steve is gone far too soon. My heartfelt condolences to his family and all those who mourn his loss. Dan Johnson

My deepest sympathy, some one so special can never be forgotten. I had the pleasure of working in the same office as Mr. Lane and he always say good night or good morning. I will miss him, my prayers go out to the families, and may your heart and soul find peace and comfort.
