Obituary of Edythe Pearson
Edythe Pearson (nee Weir)
April 28, 1917 - January 13, 2010
Died peacefully in Toronto, at home, in her own bed, with her daughter Laurel by her side and her little dog Hanna at her feet. She was 92. Son Brooke was at her bedside during her last hours. Daughter-in-law Kathleen, along with grandchildren Jesse (Joanna), Sage (Darren) and Gavin (Lauren) were with her in the few days before. Great-grandchildren Islay, Tristan, May and Oscar were all there to brighten her last days. Edythe was predeceased by her beloved husband John Pearson (1981). She will be sorely missed by her younger sisters Peggy McGregor and Shirley Hodge, and by her loving niece and nephews and their families. She will also be missed by her long time Don Mills neighbours. Special warm words of great appreciation go to Liza Perez for her compassionate and attentive care of Edythe in her last years. Appreciation is also expressed for kind professional care to Dr. Laurie Dusseault, nurse Marlene Robinson, Nicky and the staff of the Sunnybrook Family Medicine. Family and friends will be remembering Edythe at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Monday, January 18 at one o'clock. If desired, donations to the Ontario SPCA, 16586 Woodbine Avenue, R.R. #3, Newmarket L3Y 4W1 or an animal welfare agency of your choice would be appreciated by Edythe's family.
