We would like to offer our sincerest condolences to all of Bea's family and friends. Both Lyman and I worked with "Miss Bea" at COTC-Teleglobe Canada starting in 1967. Following her retirement we had occasion to meet her at Teleglobe Quarter Century Club events. We always felt great admiration for her. Her dedication, her focus on quality and her high expectations were legendary but so was her warmth, her sense of humour and the dignity she exuded. She had a very humanistic approach and took many a young person under her wing. We will always remember her fondly.

I am sorry to learn that Bea has died. My Dad, Hal LeQuesne, was President of the Quarter Century Club of Teleglobe in Vancouver. (He has since died). Bea was his Montreal contact and smoothed the way many times so that Dad could do right by the retirees out west. When Dad came to Beaconsfield to visit me he would take Bea out to lunch in appreciation of her help. She was a good lady. Virginia LeQuesne Bell

I worked in Public Relations at COTC/Teleglobe from 1973 to 1981 and have many fond memories of Bea. She was a no-nonsense, get-things-done kind of lady with a good sense of humour. I always appreciated her efficiency and straight-forward approach. Plus she had the boss's ear, and made access to him (Mr. Delorme) easy for me. She was also a wealth of information since she had been on the scene since 1950 when the crown corporation was formed. She was always willing to share that information, especially when I was writing a history of the company for its 25th anniversary. I never knew Bea away from the office, except for a business trip to Beaver Harbour, but I do recall her telling me about her large family. To you, I send my condolences. Unfortunately I will be out of town on Friday and so will not be able to attend the funeral. Kay

For the almost 30 years that we knew Bea Berini, she was always Auntie Bea to us. She was everything you would want an Auntie Bea to be: warm, welcoming, with a quick smile and a soft chuckle - and unparalleled shortbread abd cheese biscuits at Christmas! She was strong, spirited and independent-minded. She enjoyed an impressive career at a time where female faces were rare in the business world. She had a passion for golf and a zest for life. She had a strong love and commitment to family. It was a special tribute to her to see during her illness the extraordinary love and care she received in kind from her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. So, it is with sadness that we bid farewell to you, Auntie Bea. We are sorry for your loss, yet comforted by the knowledge that you are finally at peace and returned to the company of the siblings you had so profoundly missed. Our deepest sympathies to the family. Debbie, Zavie, Jenn and Jess

There are some things you don't forget. Bea made, from scratch and using fresh lemons, the best damned lemon-meringue pie on God's earth. A marvelously gracious lady, and a real ball of fire. Bert Phelan Montreal

Our deepest sympathy to you and all the family on the passing of Auntie Bea. We only got to know her since she moved to Toronto, but we certainly understood the deep love for her held by the family. She had a very special place in your hearts and you in hers. We have heard the stories of her accomplishments in the work force and the vibrant life she led. Her warm love for family, her cooking and wonderful sense of humor, we know will be sorely missed by all. Our hearts go out to you during this saddest of times. Deepest sympathy from Colum and Liz Bastable, Sarah and Doug, Brian and Angela.
