Obituary of Dorothy Thompson

Dorothy Thompson Died in Toronto on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from complications following hip surgery in her 86th year. Survived by daughters Barbara Dorian and her husband Paul Garfinkel and Jan Reddon and her husband John. Grandmother of Iain, Lindsay, Adam, Benjamin and Amy. Dorothy loved reading, bridge, clothes and shoes, all news and long political discussions. Quirky and cynical, she was always determind to be her own person. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health Foundation, 33 Russell Street, Toronto M5S 2S1.
