When we visited Toronto, about every year to eighteen months, we would get together for lunch at the Rom or the AGO. We treasured Wentworth's enthusiasms and kindness. He was gifted in the art of conversation because he understood the art of listening. Wentworth inspired us. The memories we have will remain dear in our hearts.

Please accept the condolences of an old friend and contemporary, Donald Sutherland. Wentworth and I were friends through the Arts & Letters Club. Along with the late Harold Flammger and Michael Millgate, we four had a monthly luncheon to discuss current matters in the fields of literature, theatre and music. Resident in a retirement home since 2004, I have been unable to keep in touch, deafness preventing me from telephoning. But I am filled with happy memories of our time together. Wentworth was such a good companion and cherished friend who I will sadly miss. Donald Sutherland

I wish you well in this hard time, and try to concentrate on remembering all the wonderful times and be happy that your Dad has gone on the the next, and better, phase of his existence. Love you, best wishes from Texas Heather (Nishie)
