Hi Al - Jack Cooke just sent a message re your loss off Dorothy - we are so sorry. Haven't seen you folks for ages but in the picture Dorothy looks the same as I saw her last - her happy smile. How well we remember sitting in your living room stuffing envelopes for the Air Canada Pionairs Away back in the eighties. Good memories deepest regrets Al to you and your family. Take Care and God Bless Syl & Kay. PS: I'm sure you know Al we are out here in Victoria.

We recently learned of the passing of Dorothy Wild. We were her and her husband's next door neighbours at 37 Chatfield for several years. Al and Dorothy were always very welcoming and kind. We appreciated their patience with our young son who would love to trample all the fruit that fell off their tree and unto their driveway! Even though we didn't keep in touch, we always remembered her warmth and wonderful smile. Our condolences go out to Al and the entire family. With admiration, Rick, Daiva, Viktor and Luke Lapas.

To Dorothy's Family, My deepest sympathy to you all. I met Dorothy and Al when they moved back to their home on Chatfield Crescent in Don Mills in the late 1970's. They were returning from Montreal to live in their home after renting it for a number of years. I lived next door at #37 and soon became good friends with Dorothy and Al. They were both such friendly neighbours who were there whenever you needed someone to talk to or a "cup of sugar" or a before dinner drink on the deck. Dorothy and I shared a lot in common. We were both named Dorothy, we both had had cottages on Kahshe Lake and both our families were members of the Donalda Club. When they first moved back to Chatfield I felt obliged to inform them that there was a family of raccoons that had been living in the flu of their chimney for a couple of years. I had thoroughly enjoyed watching the goings on of the mother and recently her 5 babies from my kitchen window but knew they could do a lot of damage. I visited Dorothy and Al after I moved away from time to time and always sent Christmas cards to let them know that I was thinking of them. They were both wonderful people and I couldn't have asked for nicer, more friendly neighbours. Most recently their Christmas cards stopped coming and I wasn't sure what the health issues were. I am so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing and send best regards to Al and family. Sincerely, Dorothy Boehm (formerly Johnston)
