MICHAUD, Margaret, Lucy (nee Galliano)
Born in Britt, Ontario. September 25, 1918 to October 24, 2009. Margaret passed away peacefully in her 92nd year, surrounded by family Saturday evening, October 24, 2009 in the Spruce House, of the Houses of Providence in Toronto where she was a Resident for the past five years. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Gordon Michaud (predeceased 1970) and will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters Janet McCartan, Carole Anne Isnor, Betty Michaud and Linda Saville, son-in-law David Saville. Matriarch of 5 generations, known as Nanny and cherished by 9 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great Great-Grandchildren. Dear daughter of Eva Boucher and Giovanni Galliano predeceased. Margaret was the eldest of her siblings and all are predeceased. Her sisters were Norma Allen, Marie Pretz, Angeline Skinulis, Stella Galliano and her brothers Irvine, Tony and John Galliano. She loved welcoming people to her family home on Rhodes Avenue in Toronto, where she resided for more than half a century. For many years she was an active CWL member of Corpus Christi and St. Joseph's Parish. Margaret retired from Toronto East General Hospital in 1984. Family and friends will be received at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6- 8 p.m. on Tuesday October 27 and 2- 4 p.m. and 6- 8 p.m. on Wednesday October 28. A Funeral Mass will be held at CORPUS CHRISTI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16 Lockwood Road, on Thursday October 29 at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 305 Erskine Avenue, and Reception in the Rosedale room to follow at Humphrey Funeral Home.
