Dear Joan, Anne and Peter, Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I read of John's passing in the Globe and Mail, and wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Angela, Victoria BC (daughter of the late Norman and Barbara Craig Kingsville Ontario)

I was very sad to read about your loss of John. But I have to say that reading about his life has also jogged some good memories for me, particularly the Christmas I spent with you in the U.K. in 1972 when you so graciously invited me to visit you from where I was studying in the south of France. (And Peter, you were finally able to get a flight that made it to London through one of Canada's record-setting snowfalls.) Please accept my condolences. My Mom and Dad are both gone now (Spencer in 2005 and Dorothy in 2007.) But I have a wonderful family keeping me very busy, with our son Michel, and our daughter Jessica (and our grand daughter Portia, who's coming up on her second birthday.) My husband and I live in Toronto, but I'm actually in Vancouver for a week doing a bit of babysitting - such a delight. If you have time, please keep in touch. With my very best wishes and fond memories, Paula Pearsall Salvador

We will miss seeing John on Jacks Lake. He always brightened the fall colours on the lake with his great sense of humour and spry attitude. Gord Tucker and family, Apsley.
