I would like to convey my deepest condolences for your loss. Mrs. Plaskett, as I know her from my Northern Secondary School years, was a fine English teacher and beloved mentor. It was a rare privilege to had have her as my teacher during my high school years. A dedicated teacher who shaped the minds of thousands to the beauty and expression of the English language. We are all blessed to have known her.

I am so very sorry to read about the death of Mrs. Plaskett. Charles and Ida were very important to our family, Charles as the pastor who married us, and who officiated at Christenings and funerals. Ida was always the quiet strength we felt behind Rev. Plaskett. I know she loved teaching, and loved her family. The world was a better place when they were here, and their legacy of thoughtfulness and caring will carry on. My deepest condolences to her family.

I had the privilege of working with Ida for many years in the English Department at Northern Secondary School. As a young teacher I found Ida to be a wonderful mentor and friend. I remember many hours spent with Ida in the English department office marking together, sharing stories, laughing and just having fun. Ida will be remembered as a wonderful teacher by the many students and faculty that she touched over the years.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Mrs Plaskett was one of my favourite teachers grade 13 English in the early 80's I'm just sorry I did not see the notice earlier. I would have liked to drop by and tell you a few stories. I don't know how she put up with us but she did. And I still remember every book we read... As well Charlie took the service for my grand mother's funeral back in September 1980

Please accept my sincere condolences on Ida's passing. My husband Bert (Herbert) taught and coached soccer at Northern for 20 years, during Ida's tenure. I have warm memories of meeting her and Charles at the many Northern functions. It was always like family reunions. Bert died in 2006, but I know he always retained happy memories of his time at Northern. Sincerely, Cara Worthington

May I wish my heartfelt sympathy to Mrs.Plaskett's family. She was a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of having her as my Advanced English teacher in the 1970's at Northern Seconday. To this day, I remember every book we studied, can hear her enthusiastic voice and can picture her in my mind always perched with one hip on a desk. She was a teacher that made a difference in my appreciation of literature.
