Dear Peggy, Joan and I were saddened to hear of Arthur's death this past Friday. We both greatly enjoyed having your family as our neighbours on Binscarth, your presence there was part of what made Binscarth so wonderful to live on. I also enjoyed the support and understanding that Arthur showed to me in my dealings with the Bamk of Nova Scotia over many years. Our hearts go out to you at this time. Joan and Larry Clarke

My name is David Scott and Art Crockett was my godfather. He and my father, Edward Graham Scott came to know each other from early in their respective careers with the Bank of Nova Scotia and during service with the Canadian navy. It has been more than 40 years since we saw each other -- at my wedding to my wife Marilyn. My father died several years ago. My mother Norma continues to live in a retirement home near our home in Cambridge. Graham's grandson, named after him, now lives in Toronto. I wanted to convey my thankfulness for his long life and my condolences for his family's loss. Best regards D. B. Scott

To Ross and the entire Crockett Family: My deepest condolences on your loss. I can remember Art whilst Ross attended The Toronto Learning Centre so many years back and how helpful he was to my late husband Andy and me in assisting us to establish the school. Prior to that, Art was involved for many years with my late father-in-law, Abe Levine from Sainthill Levine Uniforms. I believe that he and Mrs. Crockett even attended Andy's and my wedding in 1960. I will always remember Art as I kind and devoted father and a good, caring person.

We did not know Arthur Crockett personally yet we feel a visceral connection with him. We had heard and even read about his successful business career. We walk in the same rooms he inhabited and even sleep in the same bedroom which was once his. The connection is as follows. In 1966, Arthur sold his home at 3 Bachelor Place to Charles and Bella Sanders, Michael's parents. In 1972, my parents sold their home to us. We have lived at 3 Bachelor Place for 37 years. One of the neighbours wrote Margot's (one of the daughters) name in pencil on one of the bricks on the east side of the house. It still remains there to this day as we felt it added to the "provenance" of the home and thus chose not to erase this little morsel of history. So when we pass this notation, we think of our joint relationship, albeit distant. Arthur would be pleased to know the good care we have taken with his previous home in the same way we are pleased to have known of the care with which he passed on the house to our family. We extend our most sincere sympathies to the Crockett family on the death of this prominent and contributory man. Michael & Karen Sanders
