Dear Marion and Family My sister notified me of your dear Mothers passing but with the sadness of the news, it also reminded me of some wonderful and fun filled times. Please know that my heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you Marion and your family. I thought I would share a bit of Grandma's advice to me while growing up, something that I will share one day with my kids in her memory... My high school was not too far from Mom, Bob and Grandma's house. A couple of times when I was upset with a boy I'd seek refuge there on my lunch. She would offer to make a sandwich and tell me “there will always be another streetcar along the way”. Our Grandma was a city lady right to the end, even her reference of love reflected city life. She put me in the right frame of mind and of course sent me on my way back to class. She listened, was patient and never told me that these were little things in life. Even though they are in comparison to what we are experiencing now. I love her deeply and already miss her more than I could have imagined.
