Obituary of Emma Federer
Emma Federer
1994 - 2009
It is with our deep sadness and sorrow we, the family of Emma Federer, announce her sudden passing on July 8, 2009.
Emma was a remarkable young lady with an infectious smile who lived her short life to the fullest. She touched the hearts of all who knew her. Emma will be forever missed by her parents, Andrea and Andrew. Dear sister of Jack, Henry and Mimi, who were all so blessed by her laughter and her love of life. Emma was so wonderful.
She will be deeply missed by her grandfather Edmond Odette, and predeceased by her grandparents Gloria Odette and Henry and Francis Federer.
She will be deeply missed by her many aunts and uncles, especially Allan and Jen Federer, Henry and Sissy Less, Anne and Kevin Kaye, Curtis and Karin Odette, Eddy and Lisa Odette, her cousins Michael, Stephen, Andrew, John, Paul, Jesse, Nicky, and Eloise. Emma attended The Bishop Strachan School, which she so dearly loved. She was an Honour Roll student, Captain of several school teams, and played on the field hockey, volleyball, and baseball teams. Emma had won several awards for her many achievements at the school and most recently The Bobcat Award. Emma was also a dedicated volunteer, giving selflessly and generously of her time to many charities.
To all of Emma's many friends, she loved you so very much. Emma was always cheerful, bright, sincere and loyal. She would have done anything for any of us.
Words cannot begin to express our deep and profound grief, how much we will miss her, and how much we all love her.
Funeral Mass will be held in ST. BONAVENTURE'S CHURCH, 1300 Leslie Street on Monday morning July 13, 2009 at 11 o'clock. Private interment will be held following the mass.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Emma's name, to one of Emma's favourite charities, St. Felix Centre, 25 Augusta Avenue, Toronto M5T 2K7 or to the Bishop Strachan School Foundation, 298 Lonsdale Road, Toronto M4V 1X2, would be greatly appreciated.
