Dear Robert, Doug and Bear, Reading your mom's obituary in the Sarnia paper today has brought back so many memories ranging from Robert trying to convince me, while he was performing student crossing guard duties in front of our funeral home, that he had invented a string tape recorder; the four of us at Central United Church, London Road School and Central Collegiate; to your mom and dad physically constructing your home on Coronation Lane next to the Whitham's and the Millman's. The most vivid memory I have of Mrs. Dyer was the love she demonstrated while sitting on a felled tree trunk in the orchard across Coronation Lane reading a book to Robert who was covered head to toe and almost blind from the worst case of poison ivy my eyes have ever seen. I must have been six or seven years old but I knew then your mom was a very special person. I have told my wife Cheryl that story many times over the past forty years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you begin another journey through grief. May your memories of a super mom, grandmother and great-grandmother bring you comfort. Grant McKenzie, Sarnia
