Dear Jarvis family - We are very sorry to hear about Kent. When I was a young girl (babysitting Taylor, if I recall) Kent was a much-longed-for sight in our Muskoka summers. So handsome, so mature...! And later, when an older Trish went visiting with Mary Louise & Tommy for cribbage, or a moonlight canoe, Kent was always so perceptive and intelligent. I'm sure he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Our thoughts are with you - in sympathy, Trish Wendell

We share in your feelings of loss, and hope that fine summer memories of Kent will console you. That's the way we remember him, sitting quietly on the swing seat while Tommy and Mary Louise would welcome us to the cottage overlooking Lake Rosseau. Some of Tommy's lilies have seeded themselves next door at the Hermitage, so there is a Kent memorial of sorts - blooming by the lake. JFD

Dear Jarvis family, I was so saddened to hear about Kent's death. I had the privilege of getting to know him last year. He had incredible gifts of intelligence, humour and sensibility. We shared many a long conversation and many laughs, which I will remember fondly. He gave a great deal to the program we were involved in and made lasting impressions on everyone he came in contact with. I feel honoured to have known him. My sincere condolences to all of you, his family. Jennifer Rose

Dear Jarvis Family, We read of Kent's death with great sadness. Our thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. We remember Kent with such fondness - he was such an important part of our growing up and experience on Douglas Drive. We were rarely in the kitchen without having the inspiring view of Kent shooting baskets persistently until he was getting them all in. We remember you all as such a close, wonderful family, and are so sorry that Kent suffered, and that all of you are going through this tough time. You are in our thoughts, and we send you all our best, The Shimes
