I have known Arden for a number of years through the publishing industry as one of her clients. Through that, we have become long-distance friends, trying to staying in touch as I have moved around. I always called Arden from some random spot in the world with a new adventure to tell her, and I loved her reactions to my crazy life. She was so supportive, enthusiastic, and had such a sense of adventure and love for life. Although we didn't have a deep friendship with lots of shared history, I appreciated everything that we had in common, and the way we could catch up from one visit to the next as though they weren't a year or two apart. Dave- although I am a stranger to you, Arden was never shy to talk about you and make you a part of whatever conversations we had when we caught up. Your trips together, dining out in TO, dogs, whatever she told me about, you were part of the story. I envied her sense of partner that she had with you, I know that she knew she was lucky to have you on her journey through life. I just wish I had made that one last call we emailed each other about... I am so sad to find out tonight that there won't be another chance to share my latest stories with her. Trisha

Dave, Andy and I were so sad to hear about Arden. She was such a lovely, warm friend - always so much fun to be around. I can't help but remember the many evenings we would be walking past your home with Tilley and now Rossi and how both would suddenly bolt for your door to see their good friend Arden. David and family, My deepest sympathies to you on your loss of your lovely Arden. Always a smiling, friendly and happy person when we would catch up periodically on her most recent travels in the publishing world. I truly enjoyed these times with her because she always warmly considered you a friend. And without a doubt a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor! Find comfort when you can in the delicious memories, the amazing impact Arden had on people and the support of friends and family far and wide. Sincerely, Shanna MacNelly

Dave and family: Our soul-deep sympathy to all of you on the loss of a sweet and bright light, dear and wonderful Arden. Working with Arden in the industry was a delight; her humour, tact, wit and smile the stuff of legend. As a friend, Arden was exemplary and loyal, caring and loving. When our second daughter was born, we knew we had to name her after her incredible "Aunt Arden", to honour her gentle and kind spirit. Please know that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead, and always. Arden, you will never be forgotten. With all of our love, Lynda, Raffaele, Elyse and Arden Quirino. David; Friends of the class of 79' at Branksome are devastated with this tragedy. I remember walking the dogs with Arden and her love of the Children's Chorus when she was younger. Our 30th Branksome reunion was last evening and 24 of us raised our glasses numerous times to Arden, our dear classmate. I shall personally create a fitting arrangement in honour of her, with deepest love from Melissa Gracey, Kim Harthill, Carol Pierce, Judy Garay, Cindy Hughes, Beth Woodcock, Cynthia Duncan, Pat Christie and myself.

Arden was a true friend in every way. In the 35 years I knew her we never disagreed, never had an argument only listened to each other and consoled each other when needed. Our love for each other was unconditional and we always respected each others lives - although very different. I will never be able to replace a friend like Arden and feel very fortunate to have shared many years with her.

We were devastated to hear of Arden's passing. It is all the more difficult to grasp as she was a true "bon vivant" whose zest for life was infectious. We will never forget the sparkle in her eye while sharing a glass of champagne or rosé de provence nor her love of hats and shoes which defined her special style. As a "dog mum" par excellence, she was always armed with hugs and treats. We will miss her. Our hearts go out to her family at this impossibly difficult time.
