I write this tribute with a heavy heart. Mrs. Lynde has been a part of my life since I was about 7 years old. I think right now she would be laughing and reminding me that I was to call her LOU... but that was hard for me to do because I have always called her by Mrs. Lynde...it was just the way to go and it was how I was brought up!!! My parents (who are both deceased now) and the Lyndes were very good friends and I remember fondly the times when they would come to our home because I looked forward to seeing them. I even worked a summer in the law office with both of them and I remember going out with Mr. Lynde on the subway travelling from one end of Bloor to the other...we had a great time. When I got married in 1988 they were at our wedding and I was so proud to have them be a part of my special day. Mrs. Lynde-Lou...as I started calling her... was a very important part of my life and of my husband Peter as well. We spoke on the phone every two weeks or so and sometimes sooner. Our conversations were about what we were up,cooking, our gardens and birds that we had seen as well as she always took an interest in my extended family. We had her join us for holidays when possible and she always marvelled at how much I had done to prepare and what I had made which would very often lead to memories about my parents and times that we had spent together and what a good cook my Dad was as well as my stepfather. I miss you so much Mrs. Lynde-Lou and am sorry that I never had the chance to say good bye. I will always cherish our talks and wonderful times that we spent together as well as our past birthdays ( March 13 and 15) when we received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from you. I send you all my love and know that the angel that we gave you for Christmas will always watch over you and guide you to your ever loving husband who I know you have missed terribly for the past 19 years...you are together again. Good bye for now and please know that you are forever in our hearts. Love always, Jackie and Peter Radoman and family

Friday, April 17, 2009
On behalf of the graduating class of 1951B, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Viola Lynde. Vi was a treasured member of our class and will be sorely missed. It will be nice to think of her back again with her beloved Syd. We have been like sisters since we graduated 58 years ago, and it is as if we've lost a very dear family member. Our thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Isabel Richardson (Stevie)
