Obituary of Elizabeth Cosman
COSMAN, Elizabeth Abbie
At the Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington, Ontario on August 27, 2007. Survived by her brother William of Montreal. Predeceased by her sister Doris Bradley of Ottawa and Montreal, her brother-in-law Cleveland Bradley and her sister-in-law Gertrude Cosman. Dear aunt of Robert Cosman, Catherine Cosman (John Nettleship), David Cosman (Linda Shattuck), James Cosman (Heather Lamont), Nancy Cosman (Glen Hildebrand), Thomas Cosman (Mary Ann Whidden), William Bradley and Rev. John Bradley (Karen Tetfenhardt). Loving great-aunt of many great-nephews and great-nieces. Elizabeth was born in 1918 in Saint John, N.B., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Cosman. During W.W.II she served in the Canadian Women's Army Corps, attaining the rank of Major. After the war she worked in the family business in Saint John and was subsequently employed by the Industrial Acceptance Corporation in Montreal and by the Continental Bank in Toronto. A funeral service will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) on Friday, August 31st at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Fernhill Cemetery in Saint John.
