FRASER, Lorna Agnes Born in Enfield, Nova Scotia, passed away in Toronto on August 22nd, 2007 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband and soul mate of 62 years, Innes Martell Fraser, by her sisters Jennie, Maud, Rose and Dorothy and by her brothers Tom and Doug. A lover of life, of family and of friendships, Lorna was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, an avid bridge player, and multi-talented craftswomen. She will be remembered by her family for her caring, her strength of character, her insatiable curiosity about the world around her, and her commitment to social justice and the importance of nurturing the young. She loved and was well loved by her daughters, Patricia Jane Dey, Lorna Elizabeth O'Brien, and Louise Starr Steele, her sons-in-law, Alex Dey (deceased), John O'Brien, and Roger Steele, her grandchildren, Alex, Innes and Matthew Dey, Elizabeth Purdy, John and Stephen O'Brien and Mark and Brett Steele, their spouses and partners, Marlene, Liane, Simon, Leah, and Alexandra, her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jillian, Liam, Ainsley and Natasha, her sister-in-law, Hilda Allen, and her nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in ST. CUTHBERT'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1399 Bayview Ave., Toronto on Saturday, September 1st at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow in Lamb Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of choice in Lorna's name. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brenda Kane, family practitioner and the doctors and staff at St. Michael's Emergency Department for their care and support.
