Obituary of Gladys Cutler

CUTLER, Gladys Mabelle (nee Brown) 1910-2009 Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 under the care of her family and devoted caregivers in her 99th year. Cherished wife of the late Wilfred G. Cutler, loving mother of Catharine Cutler, Rowland Jefferies (Zana) Cutler, and Christine Stewart. G.G. (Grandmother Gladys) will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Ryan McKnight, Ashlyn (Stewart) Neff and Christine Stewart Jr. Through her many years of involvement with the Granite Club, Gladys had been captain of the bowling and lawn bowling teams. At the age of 80, she decided to learn to paint using water colours and became a successful artist. Gladys always had the spirit of a 45 year old and continued to the very end to astound us with her unique sense of humour and direct observation of life. A graveside service will be held at MOUNT PLEASANT CEMETERY on Monday, March 9 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at 4000 Yonge Street West, Lobby Suite 102.
