Obituary of Richard McMaster

R. Ross McMaster April 12, 1960 - February 24, 2009 Ross exemplified LIFE. In 48 years Ross accomplished what most strive for in a lifetime. Ross was passionate - with love for his family, the adventure of travel, love of the arts, the competition of sports, and the exhilaration of business success. It was common knowledge that Ross was always the first to arrive at work and the last to leave. His energy was unmatched, his brilliance greatly respected. Ross was a young man, with an insight born of too many hard-won challenges. He understood the fragility of life and sought to help those less fortunate through his work in numerous charities and organizations. What drove all of Ross' energy was his love and devotion to his family and countless friends and associates. He is the proud father of son Liam and twin daughters Hope & Susan - they are truly the light of his life and his undeniable legacy. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 18 years, Heather. He will be greatly missed by his twin brother Earle (wife Bernadette), sister Susan (husband Peter), mother Joy and father David. A private church service will be held on Saturday, February 28th in Leaside. A memorial service to celebrate Ross will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at the METRO CENTRAL YMCA, 20 Grosvenor Street, 2nd Floor Auditorium.
