Obituary of John Baragar

BARAGAR, John 'Jack' Robert January 25, 1914 - February 22, 2009On February 22, 2009, Jack Baragar went to join our Lord at the age of 95. He leaves to mourn his loving sister, Jessie who is 98, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Jack was predeceased by his wife Edna in 1992, by his parents John and Elizabeth Baragar, brothers Douglas, Andrew, Noble and Charlie, and by his sisters Margaret and Jean. Jack lived a long and productive life working in various positions with General Motors, taking a break to serve in the Navy during the war. Up to the time of his death Jack was an active member of the Kiwanis Club, was at one time an avid golfer, and to the day of his death a fan of the Maple Leafs Hockey Club. Jack will be sadly missed by his remaining family and friends. Rest in peace Jack, you deserve it. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Thursday, March 5 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
