Obituary of Paul Ringer

RINGER, Paul John (March 12, 1922 - February 6, 2009) Passed away at Kensington Gardens, Long Term Care Residence, in Toronto. Beloved husband for 61 years of Dorothy (nee Moffat). He also leaves to grieve his passing his daughters, Leslie (Allen) Morgan, Catherine (Jon) Driver, Laura Ringer, Allison Ringer (Bob Quick) and Lee Aird Ringer. He was predeceased by his only son John, in 1998. Paul was the proud and loving grandfather of Tim (Jess) Morgan, Simon (Katrina) Driver, Andrew Driver, Melissa Ringer, Thomas, David and John Ringer and Adriana and Sam Hawley as well as one great-grandchild Lucy Driver. Paul spent most of his working life in various aspects of Public Housing in Toronto and was associated with the projects of Regent Park North, Alexandra Park and neighbourhood improvement areas in Central Toronto. He retained an avid interest in municipal politics and housing. His family is grateful for the unfailing, kind and compassionate attention provided by all the staff at Kensington Gardens. They truly became a second family. At Paul's request, he has been cremated and no formal religious service will be held. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 15. Donations in Paul's memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
