Obituary of Robin Fielding
FIELDING, Robin J.V. Robin died peacefully at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Prestatyn, Wales and educated at St. Paul's in London, England. He came to Canada in 1963, and after graduating from McGill University he embarked on what would be an outstanding career in Investment and Finance. He managed his Investment firm, Pente Investment Management, successfully over the last 27 years. Robin had a passion for the outdoors and few salmon rivers in the East coast escaped his attention. He was loved by many for his sense of humour, wit and charm. He is predeceased by his father, Thomas J. Fielding, and survived by his mother, Maisie Mary Fielding, his three children, sons Andrew and Jeremy, and daughter Catherine, as well as grandchildren Robert and Alyssa, brother Tony, sister Sue, nephews Lance, Max, Gavin, nieces Lucy, Erica, and Bernice, and best friends George and Marion. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Perram House Hospice in Toronto. He will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. within the Chapel at Royal St. George's College, 120 Howard Avenue, Toronto.
