While researching the book, Design in Canada, I had the pleasure of speaking with John and Inger Stene on a number of occasions. They both happily submitted themselves to the process -- recalling memories, and digging up old press clippings and photos; generously sharing knowledge and contacts; and even donating some furniture to the Design Exchange. As many have said, John Stene was a true gentleman. My condolences to Inger and the entire Stene family.
