Obituary of Robert Brown

BROWN, Robert (Bob) Campbell Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, December 14, 2008, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Robert was born in Toronto, December 19, 1930. He attended Harwood Public School and Weston Collegiate. Robert founded Brown and Huston Mechanical Contracting. Robert was an avid golfer who was a member at both the National Golf Club and Marlwood Golf Club. He was an accomplished pilot who held a Commercial IFR Twin Rating for many years. He enjoyed spending time on the ski slopes in the winter and horse back riding when not on the golf course. Robert is survived by his best friend and wife of 57 years Yvonne, his daughters Nancy and husband Robert Torokvei of Toronto, Laura and her husband Sean Kehoe of Calgary, and his son John and his wife Lorna Gordon Brown of Collingwood; his loving grandchildren , Daniel and Bennett Brown, Asta and Max Torokvei and Zoie and Conaire Kehoe. The family thanks the staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for their kindness, care and fabulous support. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008 in EGLINTON ST. GEORGES UNITED CHURCH, 35 Lytton Boulevard, Toronto.
