Obituary of Krystyna Welna
Krystyna savoured life, loved her family, valued her friends, was fiercely independent, a keen traveller, avid golfer and was always up for a long walk. With a natural eye for colour and composition, she was an accomplished water colour artist. Her innate kindness and compassion, humour and endless generosity will be deeply missed by all. She was and always will be forever young.Born in Poland, she and her young family immigrated to Canada in 1964. Cherished mother of Hanna Kassirer (Mark) and Marzenna Carrick (Jimmy), loving grandma of Laura Gill (Gagan), and adopted grandma of Matthew and Emma Kassirer and Sean and Laura Carrick, she will be deeply missed by her family. Predeceased by her loving husband Tadek (Ted) in 2003, Krystyna passed away suddenly yet peacefully in Toronto surrounded by her family.A special thank you to the dedicated, kind and competent medical staff in the CICU at St. Michael's Hospital. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W.
