Cathie, We were very saddened to hear of Iain's passing. We remember hearing from Aunt Jessie and Uncle Michael about all the wonderful friendships they made because of Iain and the Scottish Country Dancing Group they joined and were members of for many years. It was a wonderful group of friends! Our family has extremely fond memories of Iain, especially our sons, Thomas and Stefan. They considered him very cool!!! Our deepest condolences, Rose, Frederick, Thomas, and Stefan

My sincere sympathy, Cathie, in your loss. I have so many memories of the "good old days" of the Toronto Teacher-Librarians Association and the roles that you and Iain played as we made our way through new territory in the field of education. Iain was always so supportive. I remember some of us saying that he ought to be made a member of the Association because he was always helping us out in some way or another. His obituary in the Globe and Mail reflects the scope of his life and the numbers of people who were associated with him in one way or another, and who cherish his memory. My thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Marge
