Cornforth, Stephen Harold, FCAMay 20, 1939 - October 17, 2008We are saddened to announce the passing of Steve Cornforth, peacefully this past Friday, surrounded by his loving family.Above all, Steve was devoted to his family. He shared 46 years of marriage with Donna, his loving companion and best friend. An enthusiastic and fun-loving dad, he adored his three children, Ward, Jocelyn and Shelley, was a terrific father-in-law to Stephen and Nisa, and a constant and dedicated playmate to his granddaughters Kathleen, Holly and Alison.He is also survived by his brother Joseph, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judie and Roy Atkinson, nephew Luke Atkinson and niece Libby Lund-Pedersen, and cousins Anne Dann, Jane Bockus, Jim Anderson and Barb MacDougall.Steve was a Partner with Price Waterhouse, specializing in Human Resources Management and Outplacement Consulting. A natural coach and mentor, he utilized his remarkable ability to recognize and develop the professional strengths of others. After 34 years at PW, he opened his own successful consulting practice, where he continued to have a profound impact on the careers and lives of others.Steve always managed to find a balance between work and personal interests, including daily workouts at the Cambridge Club where he trained for three marathons, and regular tennis and golf games with friends at the Donalda Club.We will always remember Steve for his intellectual curiosity, his ability to find humour in everything, and for his love and dedication to friends and family.With great appreciation, we thank Dr. John Rieger and all of Steve's caregivers for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Temmy Latner Centre.A gathering for friends and relatives of Steve Cornforth will be held at the Donalda Club, 12 Bushbury Drive, Toronto, on Sunday, October 26 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
