Bob passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He was a World War II Veteran who served with the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division in the Liberation of France and Holland. Bob was an employee of IBM Canada for 42 years; a founding member of Victoria Village United Church; involved with minor hockey for over 30 years as a coach and President of the Victoria Village Civitan Hockey League; and an avid supporter and volunteer with the first breakfast programs in Flemingdon Park. He was deeply devoted to his family and his home, and will be lovingly remembered by Doris, his wife of 67 years, his children, Debbie (Doug Herridge), Charlene, and Robert (Elizabeth Baranyi), his grandchildren Jason, Chantal, and Keith, as well as many nephews and nieces. Our family offers heartfelt thanks for the care and compassion that Bob received from the doctors, nurses and support staff of K2E at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre over the past three years. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22nd.
