Paul R Wharton posted a condolence

Dear Janet, Moira & the Somerville family: Our sincere condolences & deepest sympathy on the loss of dear Fr. Stephen. Regretfully we were unable to attend the Masses due to illness. Stephen was a kind, generous, humble, & deeply spiritual man; but he was also a dedicated academic and talented musician. My close association goes back to those Mgr. Ronan & Mgr. Peter days at the Choir School, as well as having two sons attend its "Hallowed Halls". Fr Stephen is now free from all earthly pains & frustrations but leaves a deep legacy with all those hundreds of SMCS students, teachers, colleagues, & parishioners whose lives he touched during his time here on earth. Sadly we shall not see his like again. Requiescat in Pace. Paul R Wharton [former Asst. Director of Education Metro Separate School Board]
