Obituary of Oliver Spanner

SPANNER, Oliver EwingOn Sunday, September 28, 2008 in his 82nd year at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge. He was predeceased by his parents Islay (l989) and Oliver (1990). His dear wife Ruth Irene (West) predeceased him in 2001. Ollie will be fondly remembered by his step-children, Carol Armstrong (Jim), Gareth Davies, his step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ollie was a retired employee of RCA. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital for their compassionate and respectful care. The family will receive friends for a memorial service at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A. W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 11 A.M. with visitation during the hour preceding the service. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
