Obituary of Adolf Kukulowicz

KUKULOWICZ, Adolf "Aggie"Passed away on Friday, September 26th at the age of 75 after living a full and rich life. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, went on to play hockey with the New York Rangers, opened an office for Air Canada in Moscow, was the former interpreter for Team Canada starting with the 1972 Summit, and was a fixture in international hockey for more than 20 years. In 2004, Aggie received the Paul Loicq Award, which is presented to a person that has made significant contributions to the International Ice Hockey Federation. Aggie will be greatly missed by his family and so many friends all over the globe. He was predeceased by his loving wife Diane and daughter Susan. He will be sadly missed by his sister Jenny, brother-in-law Byron, his sons Shayne and Jeff, grandchildren Halle, Caitlyn, Ryan, Eric and Jamie, nephews Brent and Blaine, daughters-in-law Liz and Glenda, and so many other relatives and friends who were part of the "Kukulowicz" family. Aggie made everyone around him feel "fantastic." He loved to tell stories and was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held in ST. JAMES CATHEDRAL, 65 Church Street (at King), Toronto, on Thursday, October 2 at 2:30 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate Scholarship Fund supporting the Susan Kukulowicz Spirit Award.
