Obituary of E. Jane Beverley

E. JANE BEVERLEY Peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at her home in Toronto, with her children at her side. Predeceased by her loving husband, W.J. Eric Beverley of Toronto. Daughter of the late John Graham (Jock) McNiven and Eleanore McNiven (nee Chambers) and sister of the late John McNiven (Bev) of Calgary. Survived by her children Ian (Laura), Margot (Grant Kauffman) and Paula (David Jenkins) and grandmother of Megan and Jamie Beverley, Graham and Daniel Kauffman , and Emily, Elaine and Julie Jenkins. Jane was born November 13, 1931 in Kimberley B.C. and was raised in Yellowknife NWT. After graduating from the University of Alberta (Edmonton), she moved to Toronto where she met Eric and raised and reveled in her family. She delighted in time spent at the cottage and at home with her family, with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and never missed a minute to enjoy the company of her beloved grandchildren. For many years she was an active volunteer of the Brandon Group at Grace Church-on-the-Hill and with the Distress Centre and Garden Club of Toronto. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care of the Temmy Latner palliative care team, the St. Elizabeth Foundation, the CCAC network and the staff of the Bradgate Arms where she lived. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19th. A funeral and reception for family will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21st at ST. CUTHBERTS'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1399 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, followed by interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Temmy Latner Centre (www.tlcpc.org) or to the St. Elizabeth Foundation (www.saintelizabeth.com) would be welcomed.
