Obituary of Frances Marin

FRANCES MARY MARINAugust 8, 1924 - November 1, 2015 Died peacefully at The Annex Retirement Home in Toronto at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Diego Marin; loving mother of Rick Marin and his wife, Ilene; very proud grandmother of Diego and Kingsley; and devoted sister of Don Richardson and his wife Eleanor. She will be missed by her family in England, Adam and Rosa Rogers; and in Australia by Jonathan Arnold and Jeanette. And, of course, by her many friends, old and young -- including her invaluable aide-de-camp, Alix Taggart, and all her wonderfully caring caregivers. Fran was a gifted linguist, pianist and teacher who will be remembered for her sharp wit, kind heart and ready smile. A private funeral service will take place at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue on Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.
