When I started out with my first German Shepherd it was my good fortune to meet Phil through my friend Lydia Mcleod.Phil was a tremendous help to me and helped make my first dog ownership the success that it became.Always friendly,patient and supportive his help has always been greatly appreciated.So many happy memories of dog shows and being a guest in the Ferlito home.God bless and keep you Jo Gord Whitelaw Atlaheim Kennels

Dear Jo: When I read the notice of Phil's passing it triggered so many images of chatting with you both at countless dog shows. Phil was, indeed, a gentle man. Always offering to assist others, energetic, good-humoured. Much of my working career was spent publishing Dogs in Canada and Dogs Annual and memories of those challenging and wonderful years include you and Phil. The dog world was better because you were there.
