Obituary of William Firth

WILLIAM FIRTH William died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 98. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Zena. Loving father to Marion (Sam Turchiaro), Mark (Lynn) and the late Robert. Cherished grandfather to Dean (Sherry), Neal (Tivin), Marcel (Patricia), Sean (Christine), Amanda (Jenna), Matthew (Chelsea) and Mackenzie (Jodee), great-grandfather to Ty, Tucker, Haley, Ryker, Cooper, Justine, Brigitte, Aria, Gabrielle, Dante and Elliott and dear brother of Dorothy Marshall. Member of the R.A.F. during WWII. Bill and Zena immigrated to Canada from England in 1957 where Bill pursued a career as an electrical engineer with Ontario Electric until retirement. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21. Funeral mass to be celebrated on Saturday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. in HOLY ROSARY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 354 St. Clair Avenue West. Cremation to follow. A memorial service to be held later for family unable to attend. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
