He suffered the deepest pain of a parent, the loss of a beloved son, eight years ago. He soldiered on, remaining a tower of strength for his loving wife Badri and daughter Tina, a boundless sea of love for his grandchildren Ava, Jia and Sasha , and a pillar of wisdom for friends and family. On August 10, Dr. Iraj Meisami-Fard peacefully joined eternity after a long illness, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on Aug 23, 1937 in Tehran, Iran. He attended Tehran University medical school and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tehran University Hospitals. In 1965 he married Badri Hadian, and together they had two children, Borna and Tina. Iraj worked as an OBGYN and delivered over 40 thousand babies. Iraj, known as Baba to his family will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Badri, his daughter Tina, his grand-daughters Ava, Jia, and Sasha, and was predeceased by son Borna. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, lot 5.
