I was so sorry to come across this obituary for Totty. I had lost contact with her about 15 years ago and was hoping to see her again. I worked with Totty in the Media Studio from 1988 to 1992. She was one of the most remarkable characters I have ever met. She had such a love for life and beauty and frequently paused to appreciate both. I remember her renting art from the AGO to display in our office; her frequent spontaneous outbursts of childhood songs; her simple acceptance of things which would easily frustrate or aggravate other people (well, me); her love for her family, and her nieces in particular. Totty was unlike anyone else I had ever met and taught me some valuable life lessons as a young man. I only hope that her life in retirement was as rich and rewarding for her as it was in her 50s. I will miss her. God bless.

Dear Totty was a classmate at Havergal College, and my room mate one summer when we worked at Chateau Lake Louise, Alberta. Totty was tall and elegant, and could have stolen the runway from any model. She was a loyal friend, full of laughter and good cheer. I remember visits with her to St Catharines, and the joy she took in her family. My sincerest condolences to all her family. Nancy Bongard Niagara on the Lake
