Obituary of Andrew Zeibots
ANDRIS (ANDREW) ZEIBOTS - Passed away peacefully on June 24, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario. Born May 2, 1935 in Cesis, Latvia to Elsa & Voldemars Zeibots, Andrew immigrated to Canada just after WWII with his grandmother, mother & sister Edie (Lee) and eventually settled in Toronto. Embracing his new home, he embarked on a lifelong love of education by learning English; graduating as a mature student from high school & the University of Toronto; and becoming a registered Chartered Accountant. A passionate photographer, avid tennis player, music lover & chess master, he also took great pleasure fishing on Lake Simcoe; the wildness of Algonquin Park and was constantly thinking about the cosmos and anything to do with philosophy. Andrew was incredibly proud of his three children - Katie (Gareth), Maija (Andrew) and Nick (Samantha) and would always talk about their achievements to anybody that would listen. He adored having the family together, especially loved time with his seven grandchildren; Nicholas, Ruby, Wilder, Dylan, Neve, Cameron and Matthew. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 starting at 11 am in the Gallery at the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre (4 Credit Union Dr). Light refreshments will be served.
