Obituary of Dorothy Payne

PAYNE, Dorothy Margaret Passed away peacefully at Harmony Hills Care Community (Leisureworld O'Connor Court) on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Dorothy was born in Montreal on June 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosanne Payne (nee Pelletier). She had a lengthy and distinguished career in personnel management at Pitfield, Mackay, Ross Limited and its successor firm, Dominion Securities, in both Montreal and Toronto. Dorothy was a committed and dedicated volunteer with a number of organizations, including the Toronto Hospital Gift Shop and the St. James' Cathedral Gift Shop. Dorothy had many friends and they will miss her fun loving nature. A very special thank you to Dr. Weinstein and the staff on 3A at Harmony Hills who looked after her so devotedly for the past nine years. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held in the CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST. JAMES, 65 Church Street, Toronto at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015. Cremation to follow.
