EDMONDS, William BeattyDied peacefully but unexpectedly on Friday, July 25th, 2008 at the age of 88, at Bradgate Arms, Toronto. Loving and constant husband of Patricia. Father of Beth (Bill), Ken (Melanie) and Doug (Mary). Proud grandfather of Cameron and Liam. Predeceased by his parents Starr and Isabel Edmonds and brother Chuck, he leaves behind his sister Georgina Prentice. "Stumpy" attended Ridley College ('38). Graduated from University of Toronto, C&F ('42). He proudly served his country in Europe in WWII (RCAF/RAF) and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for valour. He dedicated his working life to his business, Hunnisett & Edmonds. Bill and Pat retired to London, Ontario, returning to Toronto in 2006. Always a loving and faithful friend, he saw the best in everyone. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A private committal service was held on Wednesday, July 30th. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in CHRIST CHURCH DEER PARK, 1570 Yonge Street, Toronto on Thursday, August 21st at 11 o'clock.
