Obituary of Ralph Markle

MARKLE, Ralph Christopher Chris died suddenly on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at age 74. He was predeceased by his husband of over 30 years, Bill Riddell, and will be greatly missed by his close friend of 52, years Jimmy Wigmore. His family and friends, including cousins Peter and Vicki Markle, Bruce and Coral Winfield, Fred and Sue Mogelin, Arthur and Lynn Hall and their extended families will treasure happy memories of Chris with his sense of family, good humour and generosity. His services and efforts will be missed by his fraternity brothers and fellow Rotarians. A special thanks to David Markle and Jimmy Wigmore who provided wonderful support over his last days. Feisty to the end, Chris seemed to be improving after an extended stay in hospital when his big heart failed. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5. The funeral and a celebration of his life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will take place following the celebration. In lieu of flowers we encourage donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or St. Michael's Hospital.
