Obituary of Arvo Laine

Arvo Laine passed suddenly on Monday, May 25th, 2015 in his 84th year. Loving husband of Liia, deceased 1996. Much loved father of Alan (deceased 2013) and Anita (Michael). Endearing and treasured grandpa of Robert, Michael, Caitlin and Brendan - and great grandpa of Jayce. Survived by sister, Lempi. Predeceased by his parents Juho and Helena ,three brothers and two sisters in Europe, as well as his brother and best friend, Toivo. Arvo will be greatly missed by many friends, including his condo neighbours and fellow euchre players. In his younger years Arvo was an accomplished boxer and soccer player. He was always very active but also enjoyed unwinding at the end of the day, with brandy in hand. Arvo's greatest passion was spending time with his family at the cottage and feeding all the fury little critters. We love you and we will miss you. You'll always be "Number 1."
