My sincere condolences to Julius, Paul and family. I have such fond memories of Matie, her great friendship with Simon Dresdnere and, of course, the privilege of working with her on the Miller Brittain book. A great lady.

It is with great sadness that I read of Mattie's passing. She became a friend as well as an agent & paved the way for a book that is now in many libraries & schools , helping children with learning disabilities.A talented & polished professional,a kind & helpful friend..

May I offer deepest condolences for the passing of Mrs. Molinaro. I am also Barnard '75, a classmate of Solange de Santis, and also had the joy and honour of knowing Matie in Toronto. She was both inspirational and down-to-earth in wonderful ways, a lovely lady who had lived a remarkable life, with her beloved husband and family. I feel blessed to have known Matie, and I am sure that I share this feeling with her many friends and admirers in Toronto, New York, and abroad.

I knew Matie for about 20 years through the regular Barnard College alumnae luncheons in Toronto. She was a grounded and brilliant woman, committed to the world of literature. I admired her spirit of adventure and as a writer, I often received wise counsel from Matie. Her Barnard alumnae friends were so pleased to honor her and mark the 70th anniversary of the class of 1943 with a significant donation to the college in Matie's name, ensuring support for the young women of today and tomorrow. My sympathy and condolences to her family.
