To the Family of Pat Laughran: We are two colleagues of Pat at TVOntario who are both very sorry to hear that she has passed away. Please accept our sincere condolences. We both had to pass Pat every day on our way to our respective offices. She would always have a cheery greeting, a joke or a piece of news that would make us smile and set us up for the day. Her desk became a real talking point with her various collections - the Miss Piggy being her pride and joy. Pat was a real character, an extremely kind and generous person, and one who always made others smile. We shall indeed miss her. We used to hear a lot about her nieces and nephews and know that she was very fond of you all. We know you will miss a wonderful aunt and colourful personality. Pat was a dear person who I enjoyed immensely, working with at TVOntario. She was always the light in the room. She kept everybody smiling and always shared her wonderful and uplifting stories about her nieces and nephew with us. I felt I knew her family, and am certain she will be greatly missed by you her loved ones, and of course by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her. What a lady! Pat has a very special place in my heart. She could always make me laugh and she always gave me clues in terms of how to get through the bad bits. We shared many a drink...her a beer and I, a glass of wine. And no matter how long it had been, when we saw each other, it was just like yesterday. I will miss her.
