Obituary of Nancy Percival

Nancy (Nan) Percival November 9, 1940 - May 11, 2015 With great sadness, the family of Nancy (Nan) Percival announces her peaceful passing on Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Palliative Care Unit of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre after a long and tenacious fight against pancreatic cancer. Loving daughter of the late Hugh and Illa (nee Chapman) Willson of Perth. Devoted sister of John (Betty) Willson of Rideau Lake. Inspiring mother to Michael (Sharel) of Vancouver, Thomas of Oakville and Jeffrey (Karyn) of Oakville. Gregarious grandmother to Chantal, Amanda, Calum, Victoria and Kieran. Special thanks for Nan's care to the staff of the Odette Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Unit of Sunnybrook. Nan lived a full and rich life marked by much laughter and dedicated and caring service to others. Her loving and zestful spirit will live in our hearts forever. May she long continue to host memorable gourmet parties in Heaven! The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (just south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. The funeral service will take place in the chapel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15 with a joyful celebration of Nan's life to follow. Private cremation and ennichement at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations in Nan's memory to the Palliative Care Unit in care of the Sunnybrook Foundation or to Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
