With a chance to reflect upon the sudden passing of my brother, Craig, I have been flooded with memories that we made together, especially when we were young. I've decided to share this story so that I could leave a message for him (talk to him in a sort of way) and for his wife, my sister-in-law, Bronwyn. The simple, random thoughts are as follows: Craig is still the only guy I know of that could visit the emergency ward of the hospital twice in one day for two totally different things -- and I still have a very vivid memory of the smile on his face and the sound of his laughter when he dumped me off the back of the family snowmobile - that must have been a "big brother thing". I also hold dear memories of the day he held each of my two children in his arms just hours after they were born. However, the more important story I wanted to share with the world is about the night he saved my life. We were at the local ravine just hanging out with friends as we often did to pass time. We were trying something that was probably a little more dangerous than the last time we were there when I fell out of a tree, knocking myself unconscious which induced vomiting. I can only imagine how that would have looked to somebody like Craig. As far as I know he did not panic and went running to find help. I've told this story so many times but never connected the dots. If it wasn't for Craig's quick reaction time the doctor (just passing by) would never have been given her chance to come to my aid. I regret never telling him face-to-face how he saved me but I know he is listening now as I write it down. THANKS CRAIG. Rest in peace big brother I will always remember the good times. Mark.

One of my most fond memories with Craig was the time Craig, Bronwyn and my grandfather (his father) took all five of us grandchildren (Connor, Parker, Emily, Spencer and Hunter) to the Toronto Zoo. I don't remember how or why but the choice was made to go in the winter. It was more than just a normal winter. It turned out to be a day of a blizzard. All of us kids were quite young at the time, with Hunter only being about three years old. The part I remember most was Hunter being too small to walk through the amount of snow that was on the ground so Craig ended up carrying him the whole way on his shoulders. There were barely any animals outdoors due to the weather so we didn't get to do much but it was still a lot of fun.
R.I.P Craig. You will always be loved and remembered.
Love Spencer

I am deeply saddened at the news of the passing of one of the kindest, most compassionate individuals I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. Craig and i grew up in the same area and attended Jr. High and High School Together. He will be deeply missed. His memory will never fade.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Craig was a year behind me at Don Mills but I knew him well. One of the sweetest and friendliest people at school. Such a loss at such a young age. May God grant you all patience and may he rest in peace. Sincerely, Sahar Younes (née Botrie)

Motorcyclist's Prayer Lord, thank you for the open air, The feel of wind blowing through my hair; Just me alone upon my bike, The thrill of freedom's what I like. To wind through country unexplored, Not knowing what I'll see next, Lord, That's what I seek when off I ride, I'm thankful that you're by my side. If I should tide till morning's light, Please keep me safe throughout the night, And when I come to journey's end, It's you I'll thank--Protector, Friend. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time.
