Obituary of Gertrude Elizabeth Harlander

HARLANDER, Elizabeth (nee Odlum) July 8, 1913 - April 20, 2015 Elizabeth passed away peacefully in Toronto in her 102nd year. She had a long and happy life and served during WWII working with the Australian Military in San Francisco, CA securing necessary war supplies. She loved hockey and wrote a column in a Toronto newspaper under the title of "The Lady in the Greys". She later taught elementary school before she married. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Ben Harlander. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends. A service will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Monday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will be held later at Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby.
