Thinking of you today! I am so sorry for your loss! The first year is always the hardest...this kind of loss you never quite get over but it does get easier! Your family is always in my thoughts and prayers!

Mr. Upson often wore what he called his dancing shoes and when I ran into him with his Daughter Cathy he always had a big smile and took a few steps of dance showing off what he called his dancing shoes. He has always been nice, kind hearted and a pleasure to be around. Catherine -- thank you for sharing your Dad with me.

There is no-one quite so influential on us as our parents are. I feel so sad that your family has lost both within such a short timespan. Gord was such a comfort to me when I was experiencing difficulties in the area where I lived many years back, and I can only expect that he got those values from his beloved parents. In that way, I knew them both, I guess. Such a great loss to the world not to have them alive anymore. But they expect us to join them and are waiting to continue in that Love that they shared on earth.

My heart goes out to your family. I am so sorry for your loss. What pain hurts worse than the pain of losing someone that you love? Though the pain you're feeling must seem unbearable, please remember that you are not alone. Psalms 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." Pray to Him for strength. Weep to Him when there are no words. One of the poets of the Bible said at Psalms 56:8, "You keep track of my wandering. Do collect my tears in your skin bottle." You see, God understands your pain and He cares for you very much (1 Peter 5:7). And He will really help you get through this difficult time (Isaiah 41:10). Please, call upon His name found at Psalms 83:18.
