To Bruce and family. I was sorry to read of your mother's death in the Globe and Mail and sorry that my schedule didn't allow for me to get to Toronto for either the visitation or the funeral. When I think of your mother, I always think of her and your dad. It was always, "Tom and Lois." Your mother was a gracious and friendly lady. I will never forget her hospitality at the cottage at Big Bay Point when our staff would converge on that place for our annual summer picnic. This is truly the end of an era for you all and I hope the memories you have of her will comfort you all in the years ahead. You are in my thoughts John Saynor

From your obituary notice it would appear that your mother lived to a wonderful age and experienced many events throughout her life. There is something unique about the loss of a parent and especially a mother. It is deeper than most other kinds of grief because a mother is truly the one who is the glue that binds and keeps a family together over the many years. So I extend to you special thoughts and prayers over these next few days as you take time out of what you do on a daily basis of caring for others, to care for yourself.
